A former top aid to Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver yesterday entered a surprise plea to settle a rape charge against him and will have to register as a sex offender-but will avoid any prison time. J. Michael Boxley,who was the Assembly's top lawyer,pleaded guilty to a MISDEMEANOR CHARGE of sexual misconduct in a case involving a night of drinking between him and a young legislative staffer that ended up with charges of rape in her apartment. As part of the plea deal,Boxley-who was hit with a similar charge from another woman three years ago, which resulted in no criminal charges-will face six years of probation and a $1,000 fine when he is sentenced before state Supreme Court Justice Thomas Keegan Feb.9. Now look at this! The initial charges were: one on 1st degree and two 3rd degree rape counts,indicted for possessing Tylenol with Codeine without a prescription. Faced 25 years in prison on each of the sex charges. BUT he was allowed to plea bargain to lesser charges!!!!!!!!! He was allowed to plead guilty to misdemeanor sexual misconduct, receives no jail time ,gets probation. In the meantime if one of us bounces a check or shoplifts around $150 of merchandise it's going to be no plea bargaining . Daily News, April 2, 2004 OFFICER BUSTED IN TRASH ATTACK. a City Housing cop was charged in the Bronx with beating up four men in two separate incidents....Jeffrey Chambers,36, allegedly attacked two men -one a Gulf War veteran-inside Dorney & Malone's tavern on Broadway in Riverdale, the Bronx District Attorney said. Chambers hit the men with either his fist or a blunt object,giving one a gash that required 10 stiches to close -and beat the other victim so badly ,he suffered several bone fractures and needed metal plates to reconstruct his face,official said. In the other incident ,also in December,Chambers allegedly punched two other men in the face outside the same bar...The Bronx resident (this Housing cop) was charged (only) with third degree assault and disorderly conduct, and faces up to one year in jail if convicted!!!!!!!!!!!!!.He did all this damage and these acts of violence which will leave permanent disabilities on those men, yet he was only charged of a misdemeanor which doesn't carry any loss of Civil Rights. You bounce a check or do not return a book to the library or fall in love in the military and you're convicted of a Felony with the resulting permanent loss of civil rights including the right to possess a firearm. But this violent Police Officers can continue to possess firearms because his violent actions are called misdemeanors. Jeb Bush daughter,Noelle, completed a drug rehabilitation program and a Judge dismissed drug charges against her and allowed her to go home!!!!!!!!! (her father would have pardoned her at some point anyway!)Ms. Bush,26,had been ordered into treatment after she was arrested in January 2002 on charges of trying to use a fraudulent prescription to buy the anti-anxiety drug Xanax. Now people should know that even while she was in this "treatment" program she was caught with prescription pills and the Judge jailed her for "three days!!!!!!!" and she was jailed again for 10 days!!!!!!!!! after she was caught with having crack cocaine!!! Other young women and boys don't get that second chance in our Courts. It pays having a father Governor and an uncle President of the United States! Kenneth Gribetz, the District Attorney of Rockland County,resigned today and pleaded guilty to two Federal misdemeanor counts, one for failing to disclose $36,000 in taxable income and a second for using county investigators on personal errands,like delivering copies of a book he wrote...By resigning and pleading to the misdemeanors? ,Gribetz could return to private law practice. If he had pleaded guilty to a felony, he would have been disbarred!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White said her office had enough evidence to indict Gribetz on more serious felony charges but decided against it when he agreed to resign. (Preferential treatment. A Judge cleared Marv Albert's record yesterday of a misdemeanor assault conviction more than a year after he pleaded guilty to biting a former lover during a sexual encounter. ...Albert's plea in September 1997 prompted prosecutors to drop a felony sexual assault charge. More Evil News News from past U.S. Courts ruling uncovered recently: Salt Lake City (AP) A Judge who condemned federal sentencing laws as " unjust, cruel and irrational" said he had little choice Tuesday but to sentence a first-time drug offender caught with a handgun to 55 years and one day in prison. Read well it's fifty-five years, no joke (emphasis ours). U.S. District Judge Paul Cassell gave record producer Weldon Angelos the minimun 55 years for carrying the gun-and one day for dealing marijuana and money laundering while in possession of the weapon. Cassel said Angelos. 25, will serve more time than rapists, murderers, or airline hijackers-and won't be eligible for release until he's 70. This is one of the many abuse of power of our dictatorial U.S. Congress. Who in Hell gave the Federal Government such power to pass States Firearms laws and send citizens in jail to spend their lives? Nobody did and yet this Evil Government keeps doing it. We ,the PEOPLE, must stop the assualt by our barbarian legislators. It must be done. Those 537 skunks in Congress have no rights to enslave 280 millions of Americans . We have to show them who owns this Country, if it's the People or if it's them. So now or by now you should know who our enemies are. They are not overseas, hiding someplace. They are right here in Washington, D.C. assembled in conspiracy to find always new ways to oppress us by passing unconstitutional laws and other laws without our Consent. THIS IS DICTATORSHIP friends! whether you are a Democrat or Republican or a member one of the other parties just know one thing, things are no good in this Country and you must become involved in actual activism because now it's somebody else tomorrow may be you or one of your loved ones. But sure as next day come one day you will be a victim of our Evil Federal Government. And yes you may spend all your life in jail for a non-violent crime or most of your life! They're out there. Pay attention to any movement you do or with whom you speak. Limit what you say on the phone and what you do online with your computer. Remember for one minor mistake you may loose not only your freedom but whatever precious you have and the people who will be convicting you are going to be the people who we call "a jury of our peers". A bunch of people like all of us who themselves may have committed who knows how many crimes but have never been arrested for those crimes and convicted but will most likely be glad to send you to jail instead of acquitting you, especially in cases where it's clear that the laws are either cruel or outright unconstitutional.
